Are you a voluntary, community, or social enterprise (VCSE) organisation operating in the North East and North Cumbria?
Do you support young people over the age of 16, or adults?
Do any of the people you support have problems around food, eating, and control/lack of control?
If so, they may be struggling with eating distress.
This new VCSE Learning Community funded by the Adult Eating Disorder Provider Collaborative is led by Eating Distress North East (EDNE). We are bringing together representatives from VCSE organisations across the region who wish to learn more about eating distress, access training and peer support, share experiences, and influence pathways and service commissioning.
Our Learning Community will support individuals from a wide variety of organisations to become more knowledgeable about eating distress, more confident to ask the right questions, more capable of understanding and supporting these individuals within their service, and more aware of signposting or referring to EDNE or more specialist eating disorder services.
This will ensure that more of the people who need help are identified and supported appropriately.
To get involved the first step is letting us know by completing this quick form (takes less than five minutes!) or emailing our Network and Development Officer Sarah Marrison at sarah.marrison@edne.org.uk.
