EDNE is proud to be the charity partner for this year’s St Cuthbert’s Society Charity Fashion Show, led by students at St Cuthbert’s College, Durham University.
The two-night fashion show, taking place on 11th and 12th March at Durham Town Hall, will raise vital funds for EDNE’s specialist eating distress services. All proceeds from ticket sales, student fundraising, raffles and auctions will be donated directly to the charity.
Alongside fundraising, the partnership reflects a wider shared commitment to wellbeing, awareness and community support. As part of this collaboration, an EDNE staff member visited St Cuthbert’s earlier in the academic year to talk with students about eating distress, EDNE’s approach, and the importance of compassionate, non-judgemental support.
EDNE will also be present at the fashion show itself, with information and banner stands across both nights, giving attendees the opportunity to learn more about eating distress and how to access support.
The student committee is working closely with EDNE during Eating Disorder Awareness Week (23 February to 1 March), which this year focuses on the theme of community. As part of the college’s campus campaign, EDNE will be sharing trusted resources and information to support conversations around eating distress, recovery and where to turn for help.
This work forms part of EDNE’s commitment to community based services, providing specialist eating distress support for Durham University students on campus and in the Durham area, ensuring that individuals can access appropriate, confidential help without needing a diagnosis.
The Charity Fashion Show itself is an ambitious, student-led project, with a large voluntary committee coordinating fashion, fundraising, sponsorship, creative and welfare activity. This year’s show is the biggest in its history, with two performances, dozens of student models and a full programme of fundraising events running throughout the year.
The theme for the 2026 show, Evolve, explores ideas of growth and change during university life - values that align closely with EDNE’s belief that recovery from eating distress is possible, and that people deserve understanding and support at every stage of their journey.
Liam Jones, President of the St Cuthbert’s Society Charity Fashion Show, shared:
“EDNE is a charity very close to my heart, and one I am truly proud to be fundraising for. All of our work is voluntary, and 100% of the funds we raise go directly to EDNE. The charity’s work has been a huge motivation for our entire committee.”
Anne Fry, Chief Executive of EDNE said:
“We are so grateful for this support and the commitment to education and raising awareness, that St Cuthbert’s students have shown. As a small charity, this fundraising will be a huge difference to our work and ensure more people can access specialist eating distress support”.
EDNE would like to thank Liam and the whole St Cuthbert’s Charity Fashion Show team for their care, energy and commitment. Not only in raising funds, but in helping to build understanding and community around eating distress.
